ArticuMotion is an initiative that explores the use of games and gamification in speech-language assessment for preschool children (ages 3-5). Our goal is to support Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in understanding how the speech movements of young children with speech delays or disorders differ from those with typical speech development. Furthermore, we seek to leverage state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms to improve the assessment and treatment of childhood speech disorders. 

Adopting a participatory design approach, we collaborate closely with SLPs and computer vision engineers to produce gamified assessment tools that increase the enjoyment and engagement of children during the speech assessment process, while simultaneously generating objective measurements of speech to augment SLPs in their assessments
